Boston, Massachusetts (7/1/2005) The New England Aquarium has signed a 17,550 square-foot lease renewal at The Grain Exchange Building located at 177 Milk Street in Boston. The transaction was negotiated between the New England Aquarium and The Beal Companies, LLP (the Landlord).
Molly Walker, Director of Leasing & Marketing for The Beal Companies LLP, structured a 10 year lease for the Class "A" space, which represents an ideal proximity to the New England Aquarium and its Educational Offices.
The Grain Exchange Building was constructed in the early 1890's and today remains one of Boston's most impressive historic buildings. The building attracts prestigious professional firms due to its exceptional location in Boston's financial district, convenience to parking facilities and public transportation and competitive rates for quality office space. The amazing plans for the creation of the Rose Kennedy Greenway, Boston's newest public garden, at the doorstep of the Grain Exchange, will give this building an additional amenity that few can provide.
Walter J. Flaherty, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for the New England Aquarium commented, "We are very pleased to extend our lease in this historic building, which is so close to the Aquarium's Central Wharf and adjacent to what will soon be one of the most vibrant and beautiful neighborhoods in the city of Boston."
