The Beal Companies, LLP Expands Team

Boston – December 6, 2007 – The Beal Companies, LLP, a closely held firm actively pursuing investment opportunities in all segments of the real estate industry, recently announced the addition of Peter A. Spellios as Senior Vice President & General Counsel, as well as the internal promotion of Stephen N. Faber to Senior Vice President.

Peter Spellios will be responsible for negotiating leases, project and deal structuring, and overseeing legal matters for the company and its affiliates. Spellios was most recently a partner with Sherin and Lodgen LLP and chair of its Land Use, Permitting and Development practice, where he specialized in the disposition, acquisition, permitting, development, and financing of commercial real estate. Peter represented landlords and tenants in negotiating retail, office, life sciences and industrial properties. “The addition of Peter to our team presents the firm with an exciting opportunity for company growth and development,” said Bruce A. Beal, Chairman. “To have Peter’s legal expertise and commercial real estate experience in-house gives Beal a distinct advantage.”

Stephen Faber’s promotion to Senior Vice President is a result of a 10 year track record of accomplishment with Beal. Prior to joining Beal as Vice President in 1997, Faber was a Vice President with the Rubin Organization of Philadelphia and a Director at Liberty Real Estate Group in Boston. Faber’s responsibilities will now include development management and investor relations in addition to his core Asset Management functions. “We view the effective management of real estate as the key ingredient to the preservation of our assets and our clients’ assets,” said Robert L. Beal, President. “We truly value Stephen’s dedication to his position and look forward to his growing role within the firm.”
